Robert Cecil, Nevada County’s Homegrown Contractor

Robert Cecil always wanted to be a builder. During his senior year in high school at Nevada Union,  he worked at Builders and Consumers lumber yard, now known as B&C,  learning about construction materials and hardware. During the summers he worked in construction in Grass Valley and Lake Tahoe. Throughout college, Cecil worked for a contractor after class and on weekends and holidays to pay for tuition.

Robert Cecil Construction

Robert Cecil loved to work hard and had a strong dream to build a team of workers like the great building teams he worked with in his late teens and early 20s. Robert learned the value of hard work and had a desire to build something bigger than himself. He learned his values from constructive criticism by respected people he had worked for over the years. At the age of 23 in the Eighties, he started Robert Cecil Construction as a sole proprietor. Often he did any type of work that came his way:  concrete, tile, masonry, additions, finish work, and painting. Robert was driven by a desire to be there for his family, his clients, and his employees.

The Storm that Started a New Direction

Around 1994 there was a severe storm in Nevada County, and trees were down everywhere. Late one evening Robert was in a local neighborhood working alongside emergency crews from the fire department, PG&E, and the phone company covering tree damage to homes. They all eventually had to pull out due to the hazardous conditions as nightfall caused the temperatures to drop into the 20s and tree branches were snapping off all around. That night Robert realized that his small company was part of a larger group of people, people who have dedicated their lives to helping others get back something they have lost.

Today, Cecil Construction is founded on this core belief of assisting others when they need help restoring their property.  Cecil Construction is part of an elite group of workers who unselfishly give so that others can live in comfort.

Cecil Construction is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of others by helping them improve, protect, and maintain what for most of us is the single largest investment of our lives, our homes.

Cecil Construction takes the position that we have an opportunity through our attitudes and actions to be a solution, rather than another problem.

Cecil Construction Becomes CCI

In January 2002 Robert incorporated and became Cecil Construction Inc.(CCI) and in 2006 he added interior and exterior painting.  Roberts’ new vision focuses on the restoration of homes damaged by disasters and helping to restore chaos to order.

To that end, Robert chose to focus on Fire, water, smoke, and mold remediation. Cecil Construction Inc.’s mission is to provide quality customer service using trained technicians suited to the particular needs of the client. To achieve this, CCI maintains a team of experts who provide consistent and extraordinary results by working together, to create a top-quality customer experience.
